MNT's CTO, Leisha Martin, is a Veteran Who Gives Back to Her Community
Leisha Martin served a total of 8 years in the United States Army, both on active duty and in the reserves. She was initially assigned to the 545th Transportation Detachment at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. While stationed in Hawaii, she served with the 25th Infantry Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She later joined the Army Corps of Engineers where she served out of both New Mexico and Texas. She was one of the first recipients of the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal when it was created via Executive Order 13289, and received other awards and honors prior to being honorably discharged. She was stationed in Santa Fe, New Mexico when her time in service ended. She remains actively involved with the student veteran groups, the VFW, the standdown for homeless veterans, and other outreach events.
